ENGL 395 (CRN 7057 – 3 credits) Cultural and Theatre Studies: Theories of Performance

Course schedule: January 5 to April 14, 2026 – Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:05 pm – 5:25 pm

Course description: The relationships between theatre and forms of popular culture, including but not limited to cinematic and televisual adaptations of theatrical works.

Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs): Applicants must be ABD or have the PhD in hand. Demonstrated research and teaching excellence in the area of performance studies.

Description du cours: Les relations entre le théâtre et les formes de culture populaire, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter, les adaptations cinématographiques et télévisuelles des œuvres théâtrales.

Exigences de qualification pour l’enseignement (EQE): Être titulaire d'un doctorat ou d'une thèse dans une discipline pertinente. Excellence démontrée en recherche et en enseignement dans le domaine des études de performance.
