(This position is based in Trepp’s NYC office which operates in a hybrid work schedule)
Trepp, Inc, founded in 1979, is a technology-forward provider of data and analytics for the CMBS, CLO, commercial real estate and banking markets.
The role: The CLO Product Manager (Assistant Vice President Level), reporting directly to the Head of CLO, will be responsible for productization and commercialization of Trepp’s CLO solutions. The CLO product manager will be responsible for product strategy and roadmap for the current CLO products working with industry experts within and outside of Trepp to develop and manage a solution portfolio that addresses the needs of Trepp’s customers. In addition to product strategy and direction, the role will influence Trepp’s strategy and marketing initiatives to help grow the business and influence go-to-market activities. You will be part of a highly visible business and team at Trepp.
Trepp helps Structured Finance market participants analyze deals and managers. Trepp’s solutions are used extensively in origination, underwriting, investment and monitoring workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Develop product strategy for CLO product(s) and establish a clear roadmap based on ongoing customer and persona research.
- Collaborate across multiple Trepp stakeholder teams (Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success to establish, manage and deliver a product roadmap.
- For new solution modules / products:
- Work closely with engineering team to deliver the product evolution from MVP through a GA solution using customer and market feedback to evolve each iteration of the product.
- Manage business plan and delivery plan through multiple objectively defined stage-gates. Be accountable to deliver monthly/quarterly updates via documentation or presentations.
- Develop business and functional specification documents for product enhancements in the existing products.
- Create, prioritize, and maintain user stories and backlog for products. Be the point of engagement for the development team as well as market/customer facing teams.
- Assist with tailored customer-centric product demos.
- Oversee scope adjustments and coordinate rollout of projects across cross-functional teams. This typically involves creating release notes, training internal staff and users, as well as supporting sales and support on key accounts.
- Ensure high-quality implementation by taking part in quality assurance assessment, mainly testing.
- Work closely with Product Managers across other lines-of-business at Trepp to ensure we implement projects and strategic initiatives with a high degree of collaboration, modularity and re-use of common capabilities across the product portfolio.
- Evangelize product strategy to internal and external stakeholders (Clients and Industry forums)
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (MBA preferable) in business, management, finance, engineering, or information systems.
- Extensive knowledge in CLOs or structured finance.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product management successfully managing SaaS, Data, Analytics products.
- Ability to write queries in SQL and experience with SQL or similar languages.
- Direct experience with and a working knowledge of data monetization is preferable.
- Direct experience with agile development methodologies, development and execution of product plans.
- Experience leading strategic initiatives, building organizational alignment and executive reporting.
- CLO data, software, or consulting experience within the B2B landscape is helpful.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication (written & oral) skills.
Salary Range:
- Base salary range: Starting from $130k plus bonus eligible

Workplace Policy:
NYC, Dallas, and London office-based positions: Trepp’s offices follows a 3-2 hybrid-working policy with the expectation of in-office work on Tuesday-Thursday and the option to work from home on Monday and Friday.
