Events play a critical role in building stronger brand awareness, deepening relationships with existing clients, and acquiring new relationships. We’re seeking an innovative self-starter to join the North America Marketing team to create and execute an event strategy to maximize the commercial value of events – from proprietary in-person and virtual experiences to third-party conferences and sponsorships. They will enhance and design the full suite of experience programming, activation development and processes, to ensure consistent and distinctive experiences for clients/prospects as well as end-to-end impact measurement. This person will report to the Head of Channel Marketing for North America and will be based in Lazard’s New York headquarters.
We’ll trust you to:
- Develop and implement a holistic event strategy to maximize commercial value, including showcasing brand, demonstrating our expertise and driving business growth
- Create personalized and memorable experiences for clients and partners to strengthen relationships and foster long-term loyalty
- Partner with stakeholders within the business to understand the key business objectives and needs to conceptualize and execute strategic events
- Develop ROI metrics in partnership with the business; evaluate and report on performance an continually optimize
- Identify and manage relationships with key vendors to ensure we consistently deliver high-quality experiences and activations
- Develop a strong understanding of messaging, product collateral, thought leadership and campaigns
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative elements into our events
You’ll need to have:
- Previous experience in event strategy and event management
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful event strategies that drive business results.
- Ability to think and operate with a clear vision and connect dots between initiatives
- Understand the business direction and promote innovative experiences and solutions
- Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Analytical mindset with experience in measuring event performance and demonstrating ROI
- Naturally client-centric with an inclination to advocate for partners
- Strong networking skills and thorough follow-up
- Passionate and knowledgeable about venues, restaurants/bars, food/beverage, and travel
- Have a finger on the pulse of trends, influencers, art, and more
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, agile environment

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $125,000 - 145,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
