Who we are looking for:
As a Strategist, you will support a Director/Group Director to identify insights, develop competitive analysis and write tactical briefs with guidance. They will support numerous launch projects for the organization, work very closely with and collaborate with creative teams. Like all strategists on our team, you’ll be expected to inspire change through innate curiosity, a drive for impact, and an orientation that puts strategy into immediate action.
What you’ll do:
- Develop insight deep dives, initiate research projects, keep all logistics on track. Craft research proposals screeners, DGs and solicits team’s input
- Continue to build understanding of primary research and syndicated research tools; Analyze key findings, summarize insights and implications
- Independently analyze relevant category or competitive dynamics (eg drivers/barriers, subsegments, role of each competitor and their comparative advantages & disadvantages
- Learn how customer journeys can uncover influences on customer behavior and preferences; Recognize & uncover pain points and customer needs within the journey
- With guidance, use qual & quant to identifies drivers/briers, unmet needs, customer motivations & craft insight statements
- Build understanding of positioning fundamentals; building locks and how to create them (i.e. identifying target needs, brand benefits and RTBs).
- Learn to how to formulate a positioning statement, drawing on brand and competitive learnings
- Draft the background briefing document & learn to how to draft tactical briefs as well as get a sense for the story flow of a creative brief
- Participate in creative review meetings and develop experience in providing direct feedback to creative
- Review creative assets for alignment to brief and ensures editorial review
- Assist in assembling proposals, pre-reads, exercise materials, and synthesis of summary/outcomes; With guidance, coordinate all logistics, note-taking, and materials
- Compile desk research, competitive audit and coordinates any market research
- Actively participates in all pitch meetings, helps develop storytelling and pitch theater materials
What you’ll need:
- 1+ years’ experience of overall research and strategic planning experience
- HCP and DTC marketing agency experience
- Critical and analytical thinker, innovator and visionary that inspires creativity
- Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a multidisciplinary background, including developing business strategy, marketing strategy, consumer insight, and/or account planning
- MBA is preferred
