What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Staff/Principal iOS engineer to help our iOS engineers, engineering managers, and M1 further establish and evolve our iOS practice and our developer experience. We’re a high-performance, high-impact team that values curiosity, collaboration, and transparency. Everyone has a direct hand in shaping the future of the product. What you’ll do
- Be a leader to the broader Product Engineering team; Pair program, solution architect, and draft technical documentation.
- Suggest, and contribute to, a robust application architecture and system infrastructure.
- Be accountable for the iOS team’s developer experience.
- Mentor and help technically grow junior and senior iOS engineers.
- Lead the discovery and engineering planning for various projects.
- Engage with designers and other engineers to ensure a unified product experience.
- Build new features and improve the existing iOS platform (Swift and SwiftUI).
- Keep pace with the Apple ecosystem and integrate with new platform capabilities.
- Develop, implement, and operate testing culture that ensures consistent quality.
- Monitor and respond to production app crashes and customer issues.
- Manage build processes and TestFlight beta testing.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and iOS app development.
- Experience using Swift Package Manager, Fastlane and/or GraphQL is a plus.
- Experience in automated testing with MVVM-C is a plus.
- Familiarity with client application and systems architecture patterns.
- 7+ years of iOS application development experience.
- Prior experience building and maintaining apps with comprehensive feature sets and rich user interfaces.
- Prior experience operating and supporting production apps.
- Structured, organized thinker that is both attentive to detail and mindful of the big picture.
- Basic knowledge of, and interest in, investing and personal finance.
