Your mission: Work with a dynamic team and key stakeholders to test and evaluate developed solutions to challenging mission problems.
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer with experience developing, updating and executing software test procedures for full stack and front end web applications. The position requires a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills. The right person will work closely with the technical team to evaluate technical solutions, operational systems, and provide clear communication regarding the results of test execution. The candidate should have test engineering fundamentals with a focus on integration testing, be comfortable owning and modifying test procedures and documents, and be comfortable working with software and systems engineers to resolve findings.
You will excel in this role if you are:
- Results-oriented engineer who can leverage your technical skills and techniques to successfully design, develop, and test software solutions in multiple environments.
- Meticulous in both documentation and test execution.
- Enjoy working collaboratively with skilled software and systems engineers.
- Are familiar with Agile frameworks and methodologies.
A day in the life:
- Extracting test steps as described by software engineering team members to determine changes or adaptations to test procedures.
- Running through regression testing and identifying any findings.
- Capture and detail objective runtime performance of web applications based on a number of input parameters.
- Communication with systems engineering for establishing sprint backlog items.
What we are expecting from you:
- Five (5) years’ experience as a Test Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional Test Engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience creating, updating, and executing test plans.
- Hands-on experience performing development, system, integration, and regression testing on user-interface based systems.
- Experience working directly with Agile software development teams.
Nice to have:
- Experience with front end web application testing, and a working understanding of restful services and endpoints.
