F5 Engineer
Key Role:
Serve as a member of the Network Operations and Engineering team focusing on F5 administration, support, and configuration. Perform all change requests for the F5 team. Escalate to senior F5 engineers for guidance as needed. Document repeatable processes and assist in automation and delegation to tier 1 resources, where possible. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in data center networking environments for a medium to large enterprise
2+ years of experience with configuration and support of routing protocols, including BGP, EIGRP, or OSPF
1+ years of experience with F5 LTM, APM, AFM, or Big IQ
Experience with multi-vendor network environments
Experience with network monitoring and logging systems
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications
Experience with network automation tools, including Ansible or Python
Knowledge of data center technologies, including virtualization, cloud IaaS, including Azure or AWS, firewall, and security technologies
F5 instructor-led Training or Certification
Cisco CCNA Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
