Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering program is required.
  • A Professional Engineer license is required.
  • At least 10 years of industrial and/or manufacturing experience is required.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code is required.
  • Knowledge of 600-volt power distribution systems is required.
  • Knowledge of plant infrastructure and equipment installation design is required.
  • Working knowledge of industrial control systems is required.
  • Good communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Independently perform Electrical Engineering activities for all phases of electrical development and equipment design for projects of moderate size and complexity.
  • Perform the layout, analysis, and design of the electrical engineering scope of work for industrial projects.
  • Design and develop electrical equipment specifications, electrical plan drawings, electrical schematics, and design calculations.
  • Work with and understand core design-basis documentation, including P&IDs, general arrangements, and equipment lists.
  • Lead a small staff of designers and possibly junior engineers.
  • Perform quality checks on electrical engineering work performed by others.
  • Resolve technical design conflicts.
  • Direct the use of computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment for diverse engineering assignments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Plant engineering experience is preferred.
  • A background in industrial work is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
