About the Role and Team:
We’re building an iconic company that will transform the digital analytics market, and we’re looking for someone to take our content marketing and thought leadership to the next level.
As the Content Marketing Director, you will be responsible for building a world-class strategy and team that can drive evergreen, strategic, campaign, thought-leadership and other content to broaden awareness of Amplitude’s leadership in the digital analytics category.
As a key member of the Corporate Marketing leadership team, you will partner closely with product marketing, revenue marketing, and myriad subject matter experts to drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a data-driven content experience that earns awareness, engagement, and pipeline.
In this role you will:
- Be a key custodian of the Amplitude brand narrative and framework, and demonstrate stellar judgment in leveraging specific elements to reach our core target audiences.
- Build a cross-platform digital content strategy and team that owns and optimizes Amplitude’s blog, social, influencer community, campaigns, and other key channels for time-specific and evergreen content alike.
- Deeply understand the product leader and data persona audiences and write, edit and/or direct content to successfully engage those personas
- Partner with and advise the growth, campaigns and product marketing teams on new/better/different content strategies and tactics that maximize awareness, engagement, and pipeline
- Integrate content into sales plays and understand how content can support the company’s key pipeline-generating activities.
- Manage the quarterly editorial calendar and content plan that provides visibility and content governance.
You’ll be a great addition to the team if you:
- Have 10-12+ years of experience building successful, scalable and high-impact content teams at other fast-growing technology companies.
- Are an excellent writer, communicator and influencer who can bring their ideas to life with compelling copy.
- Are comfortable distilling data from multiple sources and synthesizing into the company’s highly successful annual product report
- Are driven by data, and can measure, optimize and report back on success metrics for content marketing
- Have a proven track record building and maintaining relationships with executives, thought-leaders, and subject matter experts across multiple teams within a company and its customers & partners.
- Have a clear vision for next-generation content marketing strategy (including planning, prioritizing, team & budget management, agency engagement, the creative & production process etc).
- Can lead and mentor a growing team of content marketers in the US and potentially overseas.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $191,000 - $287,000 base salary inclusive of commission.
Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $191,000 - $287,000 base salary inclusive of commission.
Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $172,000 - $259,000 base salary inclusive of commission.
Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans. Finally, a company sponsored 401(k) retirement plan.
