Requirements
  • Knowledge of advanced layout, use of Simon forms, layout of anchor bolts, material takeoff from drawings, and safety requirements for building work.
  • Ability to learn and understand safety hazards related to the work and safely and effectively use or operate work-related tools and equipment.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds, with occasional ability to handle up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive use of the hands, arms, and legs and maintain hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to communicate by hearing, comprehending, and speaking to safely perform work.
  • Ability to perform sedentary to heavy work.
  • Ability to operate electric, gas, and pneumatic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on steel or wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect the quality of all work to ensure standards and specifications are met.
  • Assist workers in their duties and resolve problems.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and sketches, and complete reports.
  • Build and set forms, use a level instrument, tie rebar, build scaffolds, perform finish carpentry work, read a tape or ruler, set screeds, install batter boards, and operate various hand and power tools.
  • Assist other craft workers as needed.
