Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar degree
  • A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience including experience working in industry and familiarity with areas of general accounting, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, multi-currency consolidations, and financial reporting
  • Public accounting / audit experience with a CPA certificate preferred
  • Experience with SAP and Oracle systems preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people. Desire to work as a team member. Both the same team and outside of the team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to tackle and troubleshoot problems and with the ability to work in a fast paced and limited resource environment
  • Strong communication skills including working with international teams, and able to handle internal and external audit teams
Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries and account analysis for external general ledger accounting
  • Prepare journal entries and account analysis for internal mergers and liquidations of entities under the company's legal entity rationalization efforts
  • Engage in consolidation activities as part of monthly close, including foreign currency remeasurement and translation
  • Support cross-functional teams including revenue, tax and cost accounting with journal entry posting and account analysis
  • Prepare and perform general account reconciliations and analysis for assigned accounts, including internal equity
  • Prepare the monthly Balance Sheet flux analysis
  • Prepare monthly reporting schedules to executives, providing commentary and noting flux changes from prior periods
  • Participating in business transformation projects to streamline and drive financial close processes improvements
  • Play an active role in implementation and harmonization of corporate accounting processes for general ledger areas
  • Support the Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for key balance sheet and income statement accounts and relevant control activities
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly SEC financial reporting, including cash flow statements, footnotes and disclosures. Proactively identify issues and assist in optimizing systems, upgrades and automation of accounting processes
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested
  • Assist with quarterly, interim, and year-end audits
