- Review system designs and code to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, maintainable, testable, and cost-effective.
- Establish and reinforce engineering practices related to automated testing, observability, idempotency, performance, security, and fault tolerance.
- Diagnose complex production issues and lead technical efforts to restore service and prevent recurrence.
- Mentor engineers and help them develop stronger skills in system design, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.
- Identify reusable components, patterns, and platform capabilities that improve delivery across teams.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and help the organization adopt tools and practices that create meaningful engineering leverage.
- Experience building production services with Go.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, EventBridge, Step Functions, and Secrets Manager.
- Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Temporal, MongoDB, Snowflake, or Bazel.
- Experience in healthcare, fintech, payments, claims processing, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with payment rails such as ACH, wires, checks, or virtual cards.
- Experience leading architecture reviews or setting technical standards across multiple teams.
- Experience using AI-assisted or agentic development tools to improve software delivery.

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is partnering with Nomi Health, a Utah-based provider of employer self-insured health coverage, to eliminate out-of-pocket health care costs for consumers while lowering costs for businesses. Under the partnership, Michigan employers self-insured via Nomi Health gain access to Henry Ford Health's comprehensive network of more than 550 care sites powered by more than 50,000 team members and more than 4,500 clinicians in Henry Ford Health's Mosaic Clinically Integrated Network (CIN), delivering primary, specialty, and complex care with $0 deductibles, $0 copays, and no surprise bills for employees and their families. The partnership comes as Michigan employers face mounting cost pressures. Some insurers in the state reportedly have filed double-digit premium increases for 2026, in line with what experts predict will be the steepest nationwide employer health benefits cost jump in 15 years. At the same time, nearly 40 percent of Americans report delaying care because of price. The partnership helps remove financial barriers for families, stabilizes employer spend, and pays providers quickly and in full, according to Nomi Health.
