Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, such as a General Educational Development certificate, is required.
  • At least seven years of credit union or related experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, direct, and mentor sales and service teams to achieve branch outcomes.
  • Lead business-development goals and objectives, staffing levels, schedules, and performance standards.
  • Oversee and manage retail branch banking offices, including sales, service, and operations.
  • Manage branch staff functions including human resources, audit, facilities, training, and regional project assignments.
  • Implement routines, tactics, and strategies to support goal achievement and reinforce policies and procedures aligned with business and credit priorities.
  • Ensure confidentiality of member information.
  • Participate in community and business functions or groups to maintain a positive image for the credit union in the designated marketplace.
  • Assess and improve branch operational efficiency continuously.
  • Ensure credit union policies and procedures are performed consistently with Board and management guidelines, including office equipment and facility upkeep.
  • Monitor and report branch activities in key performance areas as requested.
  • Develop and recommend annual branch performance targets for teams and individuals.
  • Coach branches on business-development activities, including outside networking, in-branch selling, outbound phone selling, and targeted branch correspondence.
  • Coach teams to maximize branch loan and deposit goals and referrals to Mortgage, Commercial, Wealth Management, Insurance, and other membership services.
  • Create, train, develop, and coach a successful sales and service team by holding employees accountable for performance, recognizing achievement of sales and service goals, and retaining top talent.
  • Conduct periodic sales and service performance reviews with branch staff and monitor branch activities and results to ensure branch and employee success.
  • Prepare and conduct performance evaluations and personnel-file documentation; work with Human Resources to recommend and implement disciplinary actions and staff counseling.
  • Coordinate, track, and monitor daily schedules for direct reports, including overtime and leaves of absence, and prepare periodic tracking reports for Human Resources.
  • Maintain physical presence to provide team oversight, coordinate work, and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Promote the professional development of branch staff through individual and group training.
  • Handle Human Resources responsibilities for supervised personnel, including hiring, termination, performance reviews, salary recommendations, and other personnel matters.
  • Establish performance goals and assess annual branch staffing requirements.
  • Participate annually in community service organizations, credit union-sponsored events, and other scheduled events on or off the premises.
Desired Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership ability and team-building skills is preferred.
