About The Role & Team
The Analytics Foundation team offers the capability of broadening the range of analysis use cases that are possible by building reusable objects that can be used across multiple workflows.
This is a technical leadership role with an equal focus on nurturing and strengthening a team of full stack developers, providing people management, and driving projects to successful, on-time delivery.
As the manager for the Analytics Foundation Engineering team, you will:
- Lead a team of 7, taking ideas from concept to implementation.
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple projects, working closely with product and business stakeholders, as well as design and other departments.
- Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on technical implementation, engineering best practices, and career development.
You’ll be a great addition to the team if you:
- Have exceptional communication skills and a track record of successful delivery/execution.
- Believe it’s important for engineering managers to stay close to technical problems and continue to contribute independently, as time allows.
- Have worked in an engineering management or technical leadership role before. Experience hiring, mentoring, coaching, and retaining engineers at all levels.
- Have a strong technical background in building large scale customer facing applications (Node, JS etc) is a must.
- Have a good understanding of current and emerging trends in cloud native technologies.
- Consistently make culture choices that positively impact the broader engineering team.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $234,000 - $351,000 total target cash inclusive of bonus.
Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $210,000 - $316,000 total target cash inclusive of bonus.
