Requirements
  • A current Indiana Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license is required.
  • At least two years of nursing experience is required, preferably in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members is required.
  • A commitment to serving older adults and improving quality of life is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and support nursing department staff.
  • Ensure physician orders are accurately followed and implemented.
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess resident needs, conditions, and quality of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff through education and performance feedback.
  • Support orientation and onboarding of new employees.
  • Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in care planning and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Address resident, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Promote restorative nursing practices and resident independence.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, medication management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality.
  • Partner with ancillary team members who assist with auditing and staff communication processes to support operational effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for a 54-bed split skilled nursing unit, ensuring exceptional resident care, strong clinical outcomes, and a positive work environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience is preferred.
