Job Description
Bloomscape is looking to hire a Senior Analytics Engineer to help scale our data analysis, ingestion, and warehousing capabilities. You will play a key role in developing our data platform to ensure we understand customer behavior and experiences across our value chain and continuously build innovative features to improve this experience in real-time. You’ll focus heavily on transforming our source data in order to serve data models to our end users. In addition, you’ll have opportunity to influence and scale our entire data stack from source to reporting. You’ll work closely with our VP of Technology, Director of Engineering, business leaders, and engineers to bridge the gap between vision and execution.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced in data with strong technical and functional capabilities. You will need to contribute across multiple facets of the data stack. Most important, you should be ambitious, curious, and passionate about fostering a supportive and world-class technical culture.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of ELT pipelines for various data types.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our enterprise data warehouse.
- Contribute to the design and development of enterprise reporting solutions.
- Contribute to the development of the data platform roadmap.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of technologists, business leaders, and analysts to create features and improve our data pipeline and reporting systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of data engineering experience in a cloud environment (preferably AWS)
- 3+ years of SQL experience
- 2+ years of experience using python for data engineering use cases (Spark SQL, Pandas etc.)
- History of success in working with ambiguity and freedom.
- Knowledge of Databricks (or related open source technologies) and Power BI a big plus
- Experience with eCommerce and customer insights is a plus
