Requirements
  • 2+ to 5 years experience
  • 2 years previous acute care registered nurse experience required (within the last three years)
  • Licensed in the State of Texas
  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Texas, or part of a compact state license, or has a valid temporary registered nurse license for the State of Texas while waiting to receive the permanent license
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire, according to the unit specific needs; certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association, for Healthcare Providers Program
  • Effective January 6, 2014, must possess an Associate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree or Diploma from a School of Nursing or University
Responsibilities
  • Manage resource utilization and clinical outcomes for patients
  • Address discharge needs of patients
  • Help with the denial management process
  • May occasions when it will be necessary to work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call/call-back status
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
  • Experience in Health Care preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in case management or similar position, preferably in Acute critical care Unit
  • Ideal candidate should have worked for the following company(ies): Experience in Acute Care Hospital, specialty unit
