Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering
  • 5+ years of building design and analysis, preferably at a consulting engineering firm
  • Experience working on federal contract projects a plus
  • Experience creating a broad range of designs and analysis including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing systems
  • Successful track record of design, quality control and construction administration
  • Quick, flexible thinker and problem-solver who is accustomed to working in fluid teams on tight deadlines
  • Experience with RISA 3D and the RISA suite of structural analysis software or similar structural analysis software
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit a plus
  • PE License considered a plus, but not required
  • Ability to obtain government clearances
Responsibilities
  • Research, plan and design a variety of buildings and non-building structures for government, industrial and commercial clients
  • Prepare code compliant plans and coordinate drawings for a broad range of designs utilizing reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing systems
  • Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary design teams, primarily in-house but also with subconsultants
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to prepare presentations and produce documents from schematic design through to the construction phase
  • Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s
