Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience, non-profit focus a plus
  • Good working knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with any ERP accounting system (examples: Sage Intacct, SAP, NetSuite)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Sparkrock, Salesforce, Concur, and/or Expensify preferred
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office - Word, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.), PPT
  • Some external audit experience preferred
  • This is a full-time; in-office position based out of Los Angeles and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)

Responsibilities
  • Assist with general accounting, working on assigned balance sheet accounts such as Prepaid Expenses, TR Store Receivables, and Inventory
  • Review monthly expense fluctuations and help research budget-to-actual expense variances
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets subledger, calculate and book monthly depreciation and ensure the subledger agrees to the General Ledger
  • Prepare reconciliation schedules to support the assigned balance sheet accounts and record journal entries at month-end and year-end to set the accounts to proper balances
  • Assist with all accounting reconciliations
  • Work with Accounts Payable to understand account coding and the payment process
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Gather/provide documentation required for annual financial audit
  • Develop and improve existing system of internal controls and/or processes
  • Perform special projects as needed
