Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • At least two years of prior commercial driver’s license experience is required.
  • A Commercial Driver’s License Class A is required.
  • Additional eligibility qualifications include medical certification and a motor vehicle record review.
  • The employee must work 60 to 70 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
  • The employee must repeatedly pull, twist, bend, and lift 35 pounds to shoulder height.
  • The employee must climb in and out of the tractor using proper three-point contact.
  • The employee must sit for up to 11 hours per day.
  • The employee must operate the vehicle in all weather conditions.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the office or site location is required.
  • Local area travel is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and help foster safety culture and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Receive and follow dispatch instructions through various electronic devices.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and company practices.
  • Communicate fluently in English with company management and customers.
  • Fuel the tractor and monitor diesel exhaust fluid levels as needed.
  • Use electronic logging device software and a tablet to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration hours-of-service rules.
  • Prepare a daily trip record.
  • Participate in all company safety programs.
  • Follow all company policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Drive a culture of safety and accountability and contribute to creating an environment where people want to work.
  • Load, unload, and transport bulk freight to assigned locations in accordance with Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
