Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols and technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software
  • Knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux) and network devices (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and help other team members
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Responsibilities
  • Monitoring network systems and infrastructure
  • Providing first-level technical support and rapid resolution of incidents and problems
  • Working as part of a team to maintain the health and performance of network operations
  • Monitoring network systems, servers, and applications using monitoring tools
  • Tracking key performance indicators and identifying potential problems before they impact services
  • Responding to alerts and incidents in a timely manner
  • Investigating and diagnosing incidents, including network outages and performance problems
  • Providing first-level troubleshooting and technical support for network-related problems
  • Escalating complex problems to higher level technicians for further investigation and resolution
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
  • Updating logs and reports to track incident resolution and network performance
  • Communicating with other IT teams and stakeholders to provide updates on incident status and resolution
  • Participating in regular audits of network systems and processes
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and contributing to ongoing initiatives
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in network operations
