Tryon Medical Partners opens first Union County office in Waxhaw.

Tryon Medical Partners opens first Union County office in Waxhaw. July 28, 2026 The region's largest independent multispecialty clinic offers compassionate, personalized care as part of its commitment to Union County. Charlotte, N.C. - Tryon Medical Partners has expanded into Union County, opening a new office in Waxhaw. Practice leaders and community guests celebrated the new location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and office tour July 28. The new 4,800-square-foot office suite, located at 1621 South Providence Road, Suite 370, Waxhaw, NC 28173, is Tryon's first location in Union County. To celebrate Tryon's expansion into Union County and thank the Marvin and Waxhaw communities for their warm welcome, Tryon made a $2,500 donation to the Downtown Waxhaw Association as part of the ceremony. Tryon Medical Partners Waxhaw will offer internal medicine services, led by Luis Bendezu, MD, FACP, a board-certified internal medicine physician who has cared for patients since 1995. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he provides comprehensive primary care with clinical interests including preventive medicine, hypertension, cholesterol management and chronic disease care. Dr. Bendezu is supported by advanced care practitioner Sydney Foley, FNP-C. Both Dr. Bendezu and FNP-C Foley are accepting new patients. "Tryon is so fortunate to have patients from all over the Charlotte region who sometimes travel great distances to stay connected to their care teams," said Dr. Robert Brownlee, president of Tryon Medical Partners. "We are humbled by their commitment to our practice, and hope that opening this office will serve them and many new patients in the Union County area." "Our goals for growth are ambitious because the demand for Tryon's unique care model is there," said Lindsay Muns, CEO of Tryon Management Group, the management team that provides back-office, administrative and operational support for Tryon Medical Partners. "Primary care is just the beginning of what we envision for Union County. We're excited to bring Tryon's exceptional care closer to home for our neighbors here." "We often praise our first responders, and they deserve that praise, but very often leave out the doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and support staff," said Errol Wedra, Union County Commissioner. "They are so important to our community, and we thank Tryon Medical Partners for being part of Union County!" Tryon's expansion into Union County is the latest step in the independent practice's continued growth throughout the Charlotte region. Over the past year, Tryon has expanded its services and specialties to meet growing patient demand and bring more care options to the communities it serves. Since last fall, the organization has added a primary care sports medicine subspecialty, Mohs surgery for patients with skin cancer, as well as enhanced gynecological services like EmpowerRF and Mona Lisa Touch. Tryon Medical Partners is an independent medical practice dedicated to maintaining trusted patient-doctor relationships, providing excellent and innovative care, and giving patients the choices in healthcare they deserve. The physicians who comprise Tryon Medical Partners practice internal medicine and family medicine, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, gynecology and sexual health, rheumatology, sleep medicine and primary care sports medicine. Tryon Medical Partners has 12 locations to serve the greater Charlotte area. For more information on Tryon Medical Partners and to register as a patient, visit tryonmed.com.
