Requirements
  • BA in Art History, Administration, or Studio Arts preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position in the field of contemporary art
  • Focused, reliable, and exacting attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with various mediums of artwork; working knowledge of conservation techniques a plus
  • Experience with secondary market consignments a plus
  • Extremely detail-oriented and able to work on multiple projects at once
Responsibilities
  • Draft and oversee consignment and loan agreements with a focus on the secondary market
  • Liaise with clients to coordinate the shipment and installation of sold artworks
  • Coordinate and oversee domestic and international shipments
  • Conduct incoming and outgoing condition inspections and process artwork upon arrival
  • Organize conservation and framing projects, maintain clear communications with stakeholders, and track associated costs
  • Understand the gallery's insurance policy and ensure compliance
  • Manage exhibition logistics, shipping needs, and associated paperwork
  • Determine best packing and handling procedures and communicate requirements to shipping companies
