Factor_ a brand of Hellofresh is hiring for a dedicated 2nd Shift - Dispatch Supervisor in Aurora, IL to join our growing team! As the Dispatch Supervisor you are directly responsible for overseeing and assisting in the daily delivery of our freight hauling. You will manage, mentor, and develop a team of dispatchers who ultimately ensure that our facilities receive quality and on-time shipments.SAT - WED 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM - Hybrid Remote

You will…

• Lead and direct a team of dispatchers 
• Oversee communications between dispatchers and drivers and other related departments
• Plan routes with our system
• Respond to calls from dispatchers and drivers who need support
• Communicate with various members of the distribution center team members, facilitating pickups and deliveries
• Oversee compliance with required documentation and operational procedures
• Account for all loads via a daily service report
• Train and retrain dispatchers to follow company procedures
• Staff the routes and assign routes to drivers daily
• Manage driver gas cards, driver tools, etc
• Schedule maintenance services, roadside service calls, etc
• Weekend work is required
• Any other tasks as assigned by management

• Able to pivot from plans, make critical decisions, prioritize and resolve complications

• Able speak to employees with tact and diplomacy
• Able to answer calls after hours    
• Computer literate to input information into the computer
• Able to take direction and relay information to dispatchers
• Comfortability in being exposed to cool and/or cold environment (10º - 40º)

At a minimum, you have…

• 2 years of experience dispatching
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a transportation or logistics setting 
• Working knowledge of optimization techniques and process flow improvements
• Experience managing a nimble, fast-growing team
• Computer skills, particularly G-Suite, Slack 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Energetic and excited
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask

Physical Demands:

• Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
• Experience in material handling
• Sedentary work; involves sitting most of the time
• Occasional movement around the office may be necessary 
• Regular work with computers, including keyboards and screens
• Regular use of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets

Working Conditions:

• Able to work in cold temperatures and refrigerated environments
