We are proud to be the first financial technology platform to combine consumer credit and global remittances. Our product solves the worst aspects of money transfer by empowering our customers to use credit rather than cash. At the same time, we help immigrants establish their financial future in their new country by building positive credit history with their existing remittance obligations and financially include their loved ones in emerging economies with access to modern financial instruments.

Your Role
As the Filipino Social Community Manager & Creator in Residence, you will play the pivotal role in developing our Pomelo community across social media. You will help represent our brand on Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, Reddit, X & YouTube, both ensuring we are responding well to comments in our own feed, passing off support issues to support, but primarily working to find opportunities to broaden our connections to groups of Filipinos across the web.
You should be a social-native creator, tied into the Filipino community, who lives in the platforms and dives into the comments, familiar with both the creator and management tools that help content fly.
It’s a 3-month contract working full-time hours, remote position, but if you’re in the Bay Area, we’d love to see you once a week. Compensation is $5,000 per month.
Responsibilities:
Manage Communities across all Social Media Platforms
- Represent Pomelo: you’re a brand ambassador, so you are professional and appropriate
- Convert customers: you’re reaching out to tell people the amazing things about Pomelo
- Create content: you’re making content for our organic social channel ****
- You’re not support: we’ve got a team for that, you just have to tell them if something needs attention
- Help Creator Sourcing: Helping to source relevant influencers for our influencer partnership program
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a successful content creator (please provide a portfolio of work, follower count across all relevant platforms, and examples of successful content you’ve created)
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Proficiency in social media content production & management tools
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and stay on trends to help keep the content relevant.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Degree, certificate, or study in communications, visual arts, marketing, or media studies preferred but not required.
