Required Qualifications:
Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (PCPNP/PNP or FNP) or Physician Assistant
Completion of an accredited NP or PA program
Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina
Current BLS certification
DHEC and DEA applications initiated prior to start date
Passion for delivering high-quality pediatric care and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Position Highlights:
Provide preventive, acute, and chronic pediatric care for patients ages birth through 21 years
Obtain comprehensive histories and perform physical examinations
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using evidence-based medicine
Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic studies
Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians and specialists
Document and bill for direct patient care services
Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and accreditation initiatives
Precept APP students and assist with onboarding and development of team members
Attend monthly MUSC team and pediatric department meetings
