This is the year for electric vehicles and due to our belief in this industry and knowledge that we can mirror the exceptional Octopus customer service, we have recently launched our very own leasing product, called Electric Dreams. As such, we’re expanding our EV Growth Team. We’re looking for an EV Sales Specialist, who will be responsible for managing sales directly with our customers and able to match our outstanding experience with ambitious growth targets.
You will be the face and the voice of Octopus Electric Vehicles, advising and supporting customers throughout their journey to going electric. Focusing on understanding our customers needs and concerns, you are tasked with finding the perfect vehicle for their lifestyle and the perfect financial product for their budget, fully educating them on all the multiple benefits of going electric.
A genuine passion for customer experience and sustainability is a must with a strong understanding of financial products, electric benefits and the automotive industry.
This role is joining our Business Contract Hire sales team, working with small businesses to ensure they fully understand the benefits both sustainably and financially, educating them as to why electric is the best next vehicle for them and their company. Previous sales experience and/or a financial background is a good to have due to the complicated nature of the financial product and strong growth targets within this team.
This role will include an uncapped commission structure and generous car allowance as part of the overall package.
What you’ll do
- Develop and establish your sales pipeline with customers - from lead through to delivery and deliver sales in line with KPIs
- Manage orders in progress and supervise order processing of EVs for BCH customers
- Continue planning and targeting of the acquisition of new BCH customers
- Recording customer satisfaction and initiative best measures
- Provide excellent customer service both through the sales process and also in after-sales customer care
- Work with the wider teams to iterate propositions and materials for the BCH market
- Strategically build your pipeline working with the team to create strong relationships both internally within departments and externally with our customers both on a consumer and business level
What you’ll need
- Proven track record of excellent customer experience
- Either previous sales experience within a consultative environment or a strong passion for Electric Vehicles / Energy and decarbonisation
- Excellent listening skills when dealing in B2B and B2C roles and great communication
- A genuine passion for going above and beyond for customers
- An ability to show a completer finisher mentality and an understanding of processes as a whole being able to see the why behind each section of the business and how that creates the entire vision
- A start up / entrepreneurial mind-set being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business
- A constant focus on improving and developing personally and within a business
- Ideally if you have experience within fleet, leasing or selling a product - this is a bonus!
