Requirements
- Knowledge and skill in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
- Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics and Values.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including some weekends.
- Ability to safely use a ladder, work from heights up to 16 feet, and lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to reside or plan to reside within reasonable commuting distance; relocation assistance is not available.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in basic English.
- Current work authorization for employment in the United States.
- Must complete a job interview, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
- This is a safety-sensitive position, and the drug panel includes THC.
Responsibilities
- Test and troubleshoot electrical control cabinets.
- Inspect control wiring.
- Inspect and program transformer monitors.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing testing equipment.
- Read and interpret complex control wiring diagrams and component monitoring manuals, and troubleshoot and correct related problems.
- Analyze data and implement corrective or preventive actions, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, output levels, and the accuracy of the quality testing process.
- Work effectively with employees at all levels, management, and customers.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Enter nonconformances when needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology.
- Post-secondary certificate or associate's degree.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with a variety of test equipment and systems.
- Experience in quality inspection and knowledge of electrical testing.
