Requirements
  • Knowledge and skill in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
  • Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics and Values.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including some weekends.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder, work from heights up to 16 feet, and lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to reside or plan to reside within reasonable commuting distance; relocation assistance is not available.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in basic English.
  • Current work authorization for employment in the United States.
  • Must complete a job interview, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position, and the drug panel includes THC.
Responsibilities
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical control cabinets.
  • Inspect control wiring.
  • Inspect and program transformer monitors.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing testing equipment.
  • Read and interpret complex control wiring diagrams and component monitoring manuals, and troubleshoot and correct related problems.
  • Analyze data and implement corrective or preventive actions, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, output levels, and the accuracy of the quality testing process.
  • Work effectively with employees at all levels, management, and customers.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Enter nonconformances when needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology.
  • Post-secondary certificate or associate's degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with a variety of test equipment and systems.
  • Experience in quality inspection and knowledge of electrical testing.
