Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Preschool Lead Teachers are responsible for direct interaction with the children in games, activities and free play, along with ensuring the general health, welfare and well-being of each child as well as some lesson planning.
- Lead teachers need to be active participants with the children enrolled; and effective communicators with parents, children, supervisors and co-workers.
- Hourly Rate: $16.50 per hour
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position is also responsible for the supervision and leadership of employees, which includes making employment-related decisions and/or recommendations, and formally evaluating performance.

Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Job Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum age is 18 years and older
- Early childhood education courses preferred or a Child Development Certificate
Professional Experience:
- 6 months experience in licensed preschool setting is required
Required Skills:
- Patient, good with children, good communication skills and flexible. Works well with others.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or other relevant degree preferred
Education/Experience Substitutions:
Yes Experience may be substituted for degree.
