Clearance: Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI CI Poly

Location/Flexibility: Local to the DC Metro Area, Remote Flexible

Responsibilities

As a Mid-level Automated Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing testing activities across multiple projects. This includes designing and executing test plans, identifying issues, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Plan, execute, control, and close testing deliverables for assigned projects.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases and test plans for functional, system, regression, and Section 508 compliance testing.
• Document and manage project issues, clarifications, and defects; proactively identify and communicate risks.
• Collaborate with project team members to create test documentation and risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist in analyzing, triaging, and assigning post-production defects.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
• 3–5+ years of experience in manual, automated, regression, or performance testing.
• Experience creating test plans, writing test cases, and executing tests.
• 2–4 years of backend testing experience using SQL, including executing functions, views, and stored procedures.
• Experience building QA/test functions from the ground up using automated test tools.
• Ability to develop scripts to automate QA/test processes.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Python for writing automation scripts.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Soft Skills:
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills, including thorough documentation of testing processes and results.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience testing and validating AI/ML models and algorithms.
• Ability to create code generators to automate test creation.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including design, implementation, and debugging; familiarity with the Spring framework.
• Experience with Robot Framework for test automation.
• Familiarity with Robot Runner for executing and managing Robot Framework tests.
• Experience working with Postman Collection for API testing and automation.
• Experience with JUnit for unit testing in Java-based applications.
• Familiarity with Drools for business rule management and validation.
• Experience with REF (Rules Engine Framework) for rule-based logic and automation.
• Proficiency in working with JSON for data exchange and validation in test scenarios.
• Experience with JSON-LD for linked data and semantic web applications.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 10-15 pounds at times.
