Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (PhD in life sciences or MD is preferred)
  • Minimum 7-10 years of sell-side or buy-side analyst or corporate experience
  • Must follow bottoms-up therapeutics oriented fundamental approach to investment research focusing on individual companies
  • Must be current on multiple indications within biotech/pharma in terms of news flow and what issues matter to the buyside at any given time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to speak with people at all professional levels
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team; must be willing to train and mentor junior professionals
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Global Head of Healthcare to plan primary research content that will cover various areas within biotech and pharma sectors.
  • Lead interviews as a moderator featuring expert physicians, researchers and industry executives from Guidepoint’s network of over 700,000 professionals.
  • Prepare for interviews by reading public company SEC filings, reviewing investor presentations, monitoring news releases and analyzing Wall Street research reports.
  • Top performers will have opportunity to advance to lead a team in a strategist role
