Requirements
  • An MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine with active board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • At least 5 years of clinical practice experience post-residency.
  • Active medical licenses in at least one of California, Texas, or Florida, plus 5 additional state licenses.
  • Eligibility for expedited licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact in 5 additional states is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
  • Availability to work weekends and assigned holidays as part of the regular schedule.
  • A solid understanding of regulatory and documentation requirements related to physician collaboration and supervision of Advanced Practice Providers.
  • The ability to work independently while managing a high volume of patient interactions through video and chat.
  • Comfort navigating telehealth platforms and electronic medical record systems, including evolving artificial-intelligence-driven tools and digital platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Reliable high-speed internet access.
  • Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and patient engagement skills.
  • Willingness to be part of a group medical practice.
Responsibilities
  • Provide at least 36 patient contact hours per week delivering treatment to primary care patients through text-based, phone, and video visits.
  • Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatment planning for patients across various ages and backgrounds.
  • Manage and coordinate care for chronic conditions.
  • Provide preventive care, wellness counseling, and health education.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Handle referrals and prior authorizations.
  • Manage scheduling and follow-up outreach.
  • Document tasks and communications accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
  • Complete compliance, continuing medical education, and licensing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and processes, including electronic medical record platform updates, through meetings, training, or other means.
  • Participate in clinical quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards for patient satisfaction, encounter documentation, response time, clinical quality metrics, and productivity.
  • Serve as a collaborating physician for assigned Nurse Practitioners by providing oversight, chart review, care consultation, and mentorship consistent with applicable laws and collaboration agreements, including video visits as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and confidentiality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
