Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year in the insurance industry in a support role or equivalent preferred
  • Graduate of College/University Insurance Program preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Knowledge of industry software an asset (TAM, Policy Works)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team structure
  • Ability to self-manage and meet assigned deadlines
  • Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Required Education: Diploma
Responsibilities
  • Efficiently process and review insurance applications to ensure completeness and accuracy, meticulously entering data into the underwriting system.
  • Organize and maintain critical policy documents and endorsements, ensuring a well-organized and accessible filing system.
  • Professionally respond to inquiries from agents, brokers, and insureds regarding policy status, billing issues, or general information in a timely manner.
  • Generate detailed and accurate reports, assisting underwriters in making data-driven decisions.
  • Work cohesively with various departments, and contribute to special underwriting projects as needed, ensuring seamless operations and excellence in customer service.
  • Engage in ongoing industry education to stay abreast of best practices, underwriting guidelines, and emerging risks.
