Requirements
  • Wireless standards and technology including Wi-Fi, 5G, LTE-A, IoT
  • Experience with CBRS will be helpful, but not required
  • Sound technical background in signal processing, machine learning, wireless communication systems and algorithms, and measurable familiarity with IEEE 802.11,802.15 standards or 3GPP LTE/NR standards
  • Currently pursuing degree in a Computer Science, Robotics, or other related discipline
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++ and/or MATLAB
  • Experience with source control (git) Enjoys learning new technologies, skills, and techniques as well as teaching them to others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively represent the derived results and technical concepts developed in the course of the work
Responsibilities
  • Develop real-time communications software for autonomous guided vehicles
  • Investigate new approaches and signal processing/machine learning algorithms for Wi-Fi/CBRS/mm Wave/UWB sensing Analyse and/or develop indoor positioning technologies based on IEEE 802.11 or 802.15 next generation wireless system
  • Assist in algorithm design and analysis to increase robot resilience to roaming and wireless disconnects
  • Develop necessary simulators for IEEE 802.11 wireless systems or 5G cellular network to evaluate algorithm designs
  • Analyze large scale datasets from deployed fleets to pinpoint and triage communication failures Use physics-based simulation packages to test and optimize robot communication
  • Work with bot test team to evaluate and debug robot communication and performance
  • Develop high quality code and packages following software engineering best practices
