Requirements
  • Experience in field service especially capable to scope with industrial related customer
  • Ability to develop excellent customer relationships
  • Must be able to travel to multiple site locations, if deemed necessary to align with customer work schedule. 70% travel required with ability to travel domestically on short notice and internationally with advanced notice.
  • Requires general understanding of basic computer language and commands
  • Driver’s License is required
  • Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3 to 8 years field experience in similar technical environment
  • Experience in servicing analytical equipment especially X-ray related instruments preferred
  • Willing and available to travel to customer sites, local or remote
  • Current electrical license is a distinct advantage
Responsibilities
  • Servicing the Bruker AXS installed base (SC-XRD, XRD, XRF)
  • Perform customer support activities involving the installation, modification, system level troubleshooting and remote hotline support of complex equipment to ensure proper working order
  • Customer training on the operation of the system
  • Install, modify, system level troubleshooting on equipment and systems following SOP policies, procedures and work direction of supervisor or site lead
  • Support customer needs by interfacing with factory personnel e.g. technical support and development engineering on problems necessitating equipment design changes or on potential new product applications
  • Train customer personnel in equipment operation, applications
  • Customer account management
  • Provide necessary information and reports to Service Management, Customers, and Corporate personnel
  • Conform at all times to Bruker and customer’s safety, cleanliness, and working protocol policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Complete standard operating procedures, project plans and other documentations as required in a timely manner

Bruker acquires DISQVER platform from insolvent German diagnostics startup Noscendo

US life sciences company Bruker has acquired the DISQVER platform and selected assets of insolvent German diagnostics startup Noscendo through a restructuring sale. Financial terms were not disclosed. Duisburg-based Noscendo, founded in 2016, developed a method for identifying pathogens in under 24 hours using next-generation sequencing from cell-free DNA. The technology is used by university hospitals for sepsis diagnostics. Despite raising nearly €40 million in venture capital, commercialisation proceeded slower than expected due to delays in selective contracts and economic pressure on hospitals. A planned financing round with existing investors failed in February 2026, leading to insolvency proceedings in March. Insolvency administrator Sarah Wolf from Anchor Rechtsanwälte said the restructuring preserved the technology's value for creditors and partners. Bruker acquired the patent-protected software, intellectual property rights, and select IT and sales staff in Duisburg. The laboratory in Kusterdingen was partially closed in April.
