  • Medical, pharmacy or post graduate level science degree preferred.
  • Clear understanding of medical practice, clinical decision making and healthcare systems related to patient care in Type I Diabetes.
  • Advanced understanding of clinical/medical science in T1D or immunology is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a hospital or clinical setting in T1D experience preferred.
  • Fluency in spoken and written business English.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the disease state, therapeutic area, the relevant products in the portfolio and in the pipeline.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to simplify complex topics, good negotiation and networking skills.
  • A good understanding of (or prior experience in) clinical development and clinical research. The ability to critically evaluate clinical study protocols, reports and publications.
  • Good knowledge of pharmacovigilance and local regulatory process and its impact on the product portfolio.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel tools and being able to communicate via digital channels from remote (non-office based) environment.
  • Strong business acumen, understanding importance of and being able to build strategic plans and implement medical initiatives.
  • Role modelling, upholding integrity and ethics values and adhering to high standards.
Responsibilities
  • Build and develop enduring value-based trusted partnerships with Type 1 Diabetes stakeholders, through scientific engagement and exchange, with healthcare professionals and institutions.
  • Engage proactively and reactively with healthcare professionals, payers and institutions.
  • Execute the Country Medical Plan.
  • Generate actionable and valuable insights and propose solutions.
  • Create cross functional partnerships and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Comply with the local and corporate compliance frameworks for external and internal interactions and complete all global/local mandatory trainings.
  • Identify and conduct scientific exchange with PCP/PED to increase T1D awareness and responsiveness on the importance of T1D antibody screening.
  • Provide education and appropriate support for enhanced understanding of treatment to delay T1D.
  • Where permitted, engage patients through medical and aligned advocacy channels.
  • Support development and execution of clinical trials.
  • Identify potential data sources and develop partnerships for RWE.
