- 10+ years experience in network administration or engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- Current relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network Plus, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional, or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) strongly desired
- Able to establish and maintain network performance by building network configurations and connections, troubleshooting network problems, and programming routers, switches and firewalls
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented with a focus on quality and compliance
- Able to manage multiple projects and adapt to new technologies
- Strong documentation skills and a commitment to scalable, maintainable engineering practices
- Must be a US Citizen
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Develop and deploy network architectures that integrate on-premises infrastructure with cloud environments, ensuring seamless connectivity and security
- Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls to protect cloud and on-premises network resources, implementing advanced security policies and access controls
- Ensure network security measures comply with industry standards and organizational policies and conduct regular audits and assessments
- Set up and maintain monitoring solutions to track network performance and identify areas for optimization, both on-premises and in the cloud. Utilizes software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance
- Lead the response to network incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Work on the integration of existing on-premises networking solutions with cloud-native services, ensuring interoperability and efficient operation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and security policies
- Collaborate with other IT teams, including security, cloud, and application teams, to ensure network solutions meet business and technical requirements
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and trends, evaluating new solutions for potential integration into the existing infrastructure
- Current relevant technical certifications strongly desired
- Familiarity with cloud networks and security frameworks
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls and cloud networking
