Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business or a related field is required. A graduate degree (e.g., MBA) and/or a professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA) is strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, asset management, or a related field. A strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and capital markets.
  • Quantitative, analytical, advanced financial modeling, problem-solving and researching skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and cultivate key partnerships to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to consistently deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Conducting research and analysis on a broad range of areas to support investment decision-making across the Fundamental Equity asset class.
  • Conducting due diligence and preparation of investment reports and presentation materials.
  • Working directly with investment professionals in the Fundamental Equity group supporting the evaluation of potential company investments.
  • Applying investment knowledge and techniques to build and analyze financial models and perform valuation analysis, including merger models, DCF models, and comparable company analysis, applying financial analysis and judgment to support investment decisions.
  • Supporting the evaluation and management of transactions and transaction processes
  • Participating in meetings with management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of departmental applications, including report creation, systems review and implementations.
  • Collaborating with Finance, Investment Operations & Accounting, and other Investment professionals, on issues related to financial accounting and reporting of IMCO’s Public Equities investments.
