Requirements
  • A terminal degree from an accredited institution in artificial intelligence, computer science, statistics, analytics, data science, or a related field by appointment date
  • 3+ years of professional experience in advanced AI, analytics or data science and familiarity with commonly used tools and techniques in analytics (R, Python, Tableau, Spark, SQL, etc.)
  • Knowledge about how to manage, analyze, communicate, visualize, and lead with artificial intelligence is a plus
  • Experience teaching at the graduate level and innovative use of technology in support of assessment and learning
  • Excellent written and oral communication, specifically with the ability to communicate technical concepts to novices and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Applied AI, such as Applied AI and Machine Learning, Applied Deep Learning, Applied Computer Vision, and Applied Natural Language Processing.
  • In conjunction with the Academic Lead, develop and implement course learning outcomes, curriculum maps, resource guides, textbooks, syllabi templates, and updated course materials; including campus-specific coursework as desired.
  • Oversee the instruction of specific courses within the curriculum. Responsibilities include supporting the Academic Lead in the selection of part-time instructors, advising on syllabi, and evaluating part-time instructor performance.
  • Identify and provide recommendations to keep curriculum relevant and industry leading.
  • Work with the Academic Lead to ensure regional license/accreditation requirements are met.
  • Teaching load may vary with other responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to:
  • Student Recruitment and Program Representation: Leverage professional networks and create local events to increase program, college, & University brand; Create and provide oversight of program/industry advisory boards.; Represent the program in campus meetings, special events, open houses, and orientations; Represent program in campus accreditation reviews and renewals.
  • Student Support: Act as the third line of support for student curriculum/faculty escalations (supporting Academic Lead and course Principal Instructor).
  • Serve as faculty sponsor for student-led events and networking opportunities.
  • Recruit and vet qualified candidates for part-time faculty positions, coordinate with Academic Lead for secondary interviews and to complete the hiring process with HR.
  • Join campus onboarding meetings for new faculty to provide a face for the program.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience teaching at the master’s level, teaching and developing on ground and online courses, and proven success in working with international students are desired attributes.
