Requirements
  • Professional experience in a relevant information technology engineering mission area.
  • Active Secret security clearance with Information Assurance Technical Level I eligibility and the ability to pass enterprise-level background suitability screening.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • A Department of Defense 8570.01-M / 8140.01-compliant Information Assurance Technical Level II baseline certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or equivalent.
  • Ability to support classified and unclassified work at government locations in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Responsibilities
  • Lead an Agile/Scrum development team using ColdFusion, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Perform conceptual design, detailed design, coding, and unit testing of critical information technology programs.
  • Write optimized SQL statements to ensure relational database efficiency.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development methodologies and maintain traceability from user stories through automated unit, integration, functional, and security testing phases.
  • Drive the 10-phase DevSecOps lifecycle: Plan, Develop, Build, Test, Release, Deliver, Deploy, Operate, Monitor, and Feedback.
  • Manage source code integrity and prepare formal Change Control Board release packages, including rollback plans and Fortify security scans.
  • Integrate applications with agency single sign-on and public key infrastructure authentication mechanisms.
  • Remediate critical and high-security findings before code submission.
  • Provide Tier III help desk support by diagnosing and resolving escalated software application failures within strict response service-level agreements.
  • Create incident-resolution scripts.
  • Refactor applications to facilitate data integration and module decommissioning.
  • Contribute to project management and sustainment tasks, including providing Agile development metrics for monthly status reports.
  • Generate technical content for end-user training.
  • Update the System Administration Guide.
