What believers are saying

  • Pack4 and Subotnick expand Veritiv’s New England and Pacific Northwest specialty packaging reach.
  • The March 2026 Packsize partnership targets automated corrugated growth and lower customer waste.

What critics are saying

  • Imperial Dade’s Delaware injunction in January 2025 blocks Canadian sales and damages Veritiv’s credibility.
  • Veritiv Visual will close Fullerton in June 2026, eliminating 46 jobs and signaling consolidation strain.
  • CD&R ownership and rapid bolt-on acquisitions create integration debt; a failed rollout destroys synergies.

What makes Veritiv unique

  • Veritiv built national specialty packaging scale through OPS, Pack4, Subotnick, and S. Walter deals.
  • Its Packsize partnership pushes automated, right-sized corrugated packaging, not commodity distribution.
