Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program.
  • Hold appropriate modality certification and current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience as a registered technologist.
  • Be certified in Breast, Abdomen, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Registered Vascular Technologist modalities.
  • Have expertise in all types of ultrasound cases.
  • Have strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
  • Fulfill all requirements listed under Staff Technologist.
  • Serve as the liaison between radiologists and clinical staff.
  • Assist the Scheduling Department with overseeing room schedules in the departments.
  • Provide customer service to patients.
  • Ensure effective communication with vendors and service personnel.
  • Ensure patient safety, including prescreening for contraindications and performing aseptic injection.
  • Stay current with departmental policies and procedures and inform staff of updates.
  • Obtain American College of Radiology certification for modalities.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and complete required documentation for continuous improvement of patient care.
  • Assist with maintaining supplies and equipment and notify team members about equipment downtime.
  • Use software systems for image and report management or reproduction.
  • Maintain technical competency through continuing education.
  • Work evening or weekend shifts when required by staffing, volume, or unexpected issues.
  • Provide feedback to management and complete employee performance evaluations when required.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
