- Perform complex financial analysis, and modeling; and provide complex financial strategies and alternatives, using corporate valuation methodologies.
- Specific duties include:
- Prepare complex finance projects using complex financial planning and executing operational diligence, merger integration and carve-out finance initiatives, for clients;
- Analyze financial data availability and reliability, and design a structured financial process to aggregate relevant data sets that will serve as the foundation of all future financial reporting;
- Analyze financial business drivers, verify KPIs, and establish a single source of numerical truth via monthly reporting packages in collaboration with the CFO, Sponsor, and Operating team;
- Develop a financial reporting cadence and automated processes that combine sound data flows and insightful KPIs to generate a monthly Board and management reporting packages;
- Assist in training the client teams to run and own financial process flows and financial forecast analysis tools;
- Prepare a diagnostic financial deep dive to identify anecdotes, root causes, and key corrective themes in the existing budgeting and financial forecasting processes;
- Prepare comprehensive budget plan and financial process in partnership with client teams including, FP&A, sales, operations, and senior leadership teams;
- Prepare, build out, and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts by coordinating with the relevant departments;
- Utilize PowerQuery and PowerPivot for financial structuring, analyzing, and modeling data within Excel.
- Deliver financial reports for client’s CFO, FP&A team and other relevant stakeholders;
- Design and develop a singular finance function that can serve all three businesses; including headcount, budget, and specific roles and responsibilities for each member of the team;
- Select and implement a robust ERP solution which meets the needs of the newly combined business for the client; and Build financial analytical tools, and create template reporting.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field, followed by 2 years of experience in private equity, investment banking or financial consulting. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field followed by 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking or financial consulting.
- Domestic travel required up to approximately 40% of time, to various client sites.
- Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:
- 2 years of experience in corporate finance, including designing quantitative–driven modeling, and performing quantitative analytics and financial analysis;
- 2 years of experience utilizing corporate valuation methodologies and preparing financial models for target companies;
- 2 years of experience in preparing operational and forecasting models, analyzing business drivers and KPIs for target companies;
- 2 years of experience preparing and delivering financial strategies, drafting descriptive information memoranda, and presenting to C-level internal and client audiences;
- 2 years of experience in corporate development, investment strategy, capital structure, and transaction execution process;
- 2 years of experience performing in-depth industry research and conducting due diligence of industry and companies;
- 2 years of experience using data analytical tools (CRM, BI) and information technology applications in project and client management process;
- and 2 years of experience in training and advising key stakeholders and C-level audiences to enhance business strategy and operational process.
