  • 10+ years proven track record in failure analysis of IC devices in medical devices preferred
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, advanced degree preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical fault isolation tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with CAD layout, ATE and bench test datalogs, digital and analog circuits, device physics, IC fabrication and assembly
  • Ability to work in a team environment, manage multi-tasking, and discipline in completing tasks on schedule
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to mentor junior QE or EE in the electrical fault analysis
  • Possesses strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting delivery dates
Responsibilities
  • Establish failure analysis process and procedure
  • Write work instructions and processes for Failure Analysis investigation, tracks failures and provides metrics
  • Responsible for root cause identification for failures seen in reliability testing, design validation, and product validation
  • Lead root cause analysis and use a wide range of techniques and expertise to tackle challenging issues with components, modules, and systems
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams with scientists, technical support, and other engineers to create new and resolve determined root-cause issues
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, operations and engineering functions to troubleshoot and resolve product issues
  • Perform electrical and physical fault isolation to identify root cause of failure in a timely and efficient manner
  • Draft comprehensive failure analysis report and communicate findings with project teams and management
  • May work directly with CMs and their suppliers to resolve project related issues
  • Take part in continuous improvement activities and support corrective & preventive actions
