Nuclear Pipefitter

Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret drawings/design change procedures to install piping systems

· Install, modify, and/or repair piping systems, pipe hangers, and supports

· Use power and hand tools including, but not limited to, small machine tools, grinders, drills, and hand tools required for metal fabrication.

· Ability to prep piping for welding, know/perform different types of bevels, and post weld ISI prep.

· Adhere to all site and company rules, regulations, PPE requirements, etc.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· 3 years minimum of industrial pipe fitting experience, nuclear experience a plus

· Ability to pass basic written and hands on pipefitter pre-employment test at home office

· Ability to pass background screens and drug/alcohol testing as required by our customers.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as working as part of a team.

· Must have reliable transportation, be able to travel extensively, and work variable hours.

· TWIC card a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to safely perform the essential functions of "the position" with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

· Perform sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, and working extended shifts

· Lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

· Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and work in varied body positions

· Work at heights and in confined or restricted spaces

· Work in outdoor and indoor environments under varying weather and site conditions

· Work on uneven, slippery, or rough terrain in active industrial or construction settings

· Wear required personal protective equipment, including fall protection and respiratory protection when required

· Maintain situational awareness and communicate effectively to work safely around moving equipment and hazards
