Requirements
  • Extensive experience leading complex business-to-business marketing events or event portfolios end-to-end, including ownership of business impact rather than execution alone.
  • A proven track record partnering closely with sales and field teams to design event strategies, plays, and enablement that drive measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Strong program and project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, agencies, and stakeholders while maintaining clarity on goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Deep comfort working with customer relationship management, marketing, and analytics tools to define targets, interpret event performance, and make data-informed recommendations.
  • The ability to influence senior leaders, align cross-functional teams, and represent event strategy and results clearly.
  • A metrics-driven, test-and-learn approach to improving attendee experience, field engagement, and event return on investment through experimentation and refinement.
  • The ability to operate both strategically and tactically by setting the overall field event vision and frameworks while ensuring detailed execution.
Responsibilities
  • Lead field initiatives and sales enablement for major events, including Data + AI Summit and World Tour.
  • Deliver premium field experiences, activate sales colleagues, refine workflows, and strengthen cross-functional alignment to scale event programs and business impact.
  • Define targeting frameworks with sales leadership, including quotas, attendance eligibility, and strategic account selection.
  • Develop and drive adoption of a repeatable pre-event, during-event, and post-event playbook across field teams.
  • Track event performance through dashboards and reports covering attendance, engagement, and downstream revenue impact.
  • Ensure reliable and timely lead flow from events into sales systems through structured campaigns, lead routing, and marketing-qualified-lead definitions.
  • Use sales incentive structures such as SPIFFs and recognition programs to drive field engagement with event motions.
  • Integrate executive forums, partner summits, product announcements, and training and certification programs into a unified field event strategy.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Databricks works with over 1,000 partners regionally and 8,000 globally through its Brickbuilder Partner Network. The company's AWS business has surpassed a $1 billion run rate. International Data Corporation forecasts Asia/Pacific AI spending will reach $175 billion by 2028.

Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
