Requirements
  • A high school diploma.
  • Three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; write correspondence; and present information effectively to customers and bank employees.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to detailed written or oral instructions and solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work professionally and confidentially.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Investigative and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with computerized loan documentation software such as LaserPro.
  • Familiarity with loan processing software such as nCino.
  • Ability to use general office equipment.
  • Ability to comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act and the bank's Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures.
  • Ability to frequently sit, talk, hear, use a computer, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crawl; frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds; and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process moderately complex loan documents for new loans and renewals.
  • Organize loan file documents according to loan type.
  • Coordinate loan closings with title companies and ensure proper funding.
  • Prepare escrow instructions and send necessary documents to title companies.
  • Input loan details into the bank's core system accurately.
  • Set up and maintain loan-related reminders and ticklers.
  • Process loan renewals and updates in the system.
  • Process loan payments and credit line draw requests.
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Prepare and update demand statements for title companies and customers.
  • Handle paid loan files, including reconveyances, title and Uniform Commercial Code releases, and return paid promissory notes to borrowers.
  • Prepare refund checks and maintain organized records.
  • Obtain follow-up items such as recorded Deeds of Trust, title policies, and titles from appropriate sources after loan closing.
  • Maintain ticklers.
  • Answer telephone calls for the loan department.
  • Maintain loan department files in compliance with bank procedures.
  • Prepare copies of documents for filing or mailing.
  • Scan and file documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior financial industry experience in a loan department.
  • A proficient understanding of the loan process and loan documentation.
