  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Candidates must be flexible and willing to work weekends, including every Saturday if needed.
  • Candidates must have cash register experience, including void transactions, making change, tax-exempt transactions, and sales.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Candidates must have strong people skills and customer service skills.
  • Candidates must be able to remain on their feet for extended periods.
  • Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry donations up and down a flight of stairs.
  • Candidates must work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Work under the direct supervision of the Store Manager.
  • Ring sales at the register.
  • Assist with receiving donations, including providing tax receipts.
  • Carry donations to the downstairs sorting area.
  • Restock racks with sorted clothing and goods.
  • Create an attractive shopping environment by organizing items intentionally and stacking and hanging merchandise.
  • Work with the manager to enforce the one-price, no-haggle pricing policy and recommend sales strategies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the store, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, dusting shelves, and answering phones as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Corps Officer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior work experience in a retail setting is preferred but not required.
