About the role

This position serves as a technical consultant for targeted business-unit initiatives. Technical consultants execute projects with the goal of achieving specific delivery results for the business unit and FIS. 

The consultant is critical to the success of the Professional Services team, serving at the discretion of Project Managers with regards to the development, implementation, and successful completion of a client engagement. 

Technical consultants take ownership in implementing IT solutions in response to client requirements. The delivered solution must be of excellent quality and adhere to project timelines. 

About the team

  
This Omni Professional Services Technical Operations team will be supporting multiple client projects which build upon the foundation of the Omni Suite of products and seeks to maximize the functionality available within our retirement services products. 

Our objective is to retire legacy applications, consolidate recordkeeping platforms and enable functionality to open new market opportunities for our customers.

What you will be doing

• Regularly performing technical analysis and support for client projects involving Omni applications. 

• Work closely with project management, business analysts, solution architects, and quality assurance analysts.

• Participate in many stages of the software development lifecycle: reviewing functional requirements, business requirements, and/or defects.

• Creating and documenting technical designs to meet development requirements

• Developing solutions using technologies leveraged by the applications (such as OmniScript, COBOL, Windows Scripting, Unix Scripting, JCL, XML, HTML, etc.)

• Participating in code reviews.

• Providing technical support during testing and post-production deployment phases.

What you will need

• Expertise in developing solutions for the Omni applications.

• A collaborative spirit, working with a diverse group of subject matter experts both within FIS and with the customer.

• Ability to identify requirement gaps or functional design defects and collaborate with your partners to address them.

• Ability to creatively design and develop solutions to complex problems.

• Ability to clearly document and explain complex technical solutions using functional, non-technical, terms.

Bonus if you have

• Functional understanding of multiple applications or technologies within the FIS Omni suite of products.

• Experience with Linux Shell Scripting.

• Advanced experience using more complicated OmniPlus features: Loans, Eligibility, Service, Enrollments, Payroll Processing, Expense Billing, Fees, etc.

• Expertise integrating Omni application(s) with a customers’ non-Omni enterprise solutions.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $99,830.00 - $167,700.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
