Senior QA Engineer

Resideo is currently seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Tech Resource to lead our test efforts for our web and eCommerce platforms.  The QA role will report to the Director of technology and interact frequently with marketing business partners. 

JOB DUTIES:

• Test Planning and Design:
• Develop, document, and maintain test strategies, plans, and scripts based on product requirements and specifications.
• Identify testing needs and ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Testing Execution:
• Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and automation testing across web, mobile, and API platforms.
• Ensure test coverage across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Automation:
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment cycles.
• Defect Management:
• Identify, report, and track bugs and issues using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent.
• Work closely with developers to resolve defects and verify fixes.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Act as a quality advocate during all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Documentation:
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including test cases, reports, and release notes.
• Ensure compliance with established quality assurance processes and standards.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing.
• 2+ years of  experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• 5+ years of experience in testing SaaS solutions.  Shopify a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

WE VALUE:

• ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation.
• Experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
• Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive change.
